Help us convince Piriform CCleaner...

In the latest release of Piriform CCleaner (3.15.1643) our HTML Editor is listed under their Applications tab as a Utility. This means that when you run the cleaner and tell it to clear out all recommend settings, it will delete your mru.ini, projects.ini, links.ini and lastopen.dat files. Yes, these are important files, because without them, you can no longer use your website projects!

We have been trying to work with this company to get our software reclassified as a different type of application, but so far they have not been very cooperative.

We need your help!

Please write to Piriform support and voice your concern that their product is destructive to your website projects. By removing these files, they are deleting some of the most integral components of HTML Editor website projects. You can reach their support department at customer_support@piriform.com to express your opinion as a user of both products.

Just sent you an email lol, didn't see this post first, but just to rehash it for others, I think they are looking into it now. I guess they didn't see the difference between an MRU and the projects.ini file so I just gave them a detailed description of what it actually is so hopefully they understand that now.

BTW, I think it's Piriform not Piniform but I'll let you correct your own typing in case there's something I don't know about the company :P

is the thread I started there. I got a Private Message from them to let me know that one of the guys that replied (Hulk) is a staff member that works with the bugs so that I'd know and answer accordingly, which I already had so it's all good lol.

I just received an email from their support department, so this looks like good news. ;)

Hi Scott,

Yes, this is already in progress, projects.ini will be removed from the cleaning list. We're sorry for all the issues we have caused you.
Regards
Jakub

I think Jo was just drinking a bit too early today because I don't show any typos at all in my message. ;)
