I've been trying to figure if it's possible to use the URL tags to enclose a name for a link, similar to the way <a>...</a> tags are used, I'm sure I saw it used this way on another forum somewhere.
But then, I couldn't figure out how to add an image to one of my posts a short while back, using the paper clip link near the Post & Preview buttons didn't work for me.

I never have figured out what the purpose of the URL tags are on forums. I don't think I've ever been on a forum yet where I had to actually use it. Anytime you type a URL it shows up as a link if you have a complete url so what's the point of the tags then? Inquiring minds wanna know

I haven't figured that out yet either on showing a name for the url like an a tag.
Adding images is easy to do, just put the link to the image in your text like so:
http://wolverana.com/myimages/1.gif
then type the image tags on either end without the spaces (they wont' show if I put them on normally)
[ img ]http://wolverana.com/myimages/1.gif[ /img ]
or easier yet just highlight the entire line and hit the image button in the editor above this box you're typing in (2nd button on the left, the one right after the link button) and it will put the tags on for you.
Hope that helps.
