know this may sound really strange...I'd been working on a html document most of the day when all of a sudden HTML Editor stopped prompting me when I start to enter a tag. Something as simple as Width or Color or anything that it was suppose to give me options or auto complete, I was having to type everything in. Finally, frustrated I started thinking maybe I left a tag opened and forgot to close one was making it happen, but all the color coding looked normal. So I started going back up through my code. I got to some formatting I did 3 days ago up in my Style sheet for my navigation bar and found a really weird empty <h3></h3> tag with nothing to do with anything. So I deleted it. When I viewed it to see if anything had changed, my entire Page became garbled with headers, div's, graphics, everything in total chaos. I went back and added the <h3></h3> tags and everything was back to normal. I still don't have any auto complete when entering code and beside that meaningless tag, everything looked good.
PS Regarding my last inquiry, I followed the steps like I was suppose to and it still would lock up on occasion when viewing in fav browser, even after saving the file first. So I just deleted the entire program and re-installed it and up until today it had been working just fine.
I re-installed the Editor and still had no success. Every time I deleted the h3 tags, utter chaos, plus still not able to copy and paste. I use Ctrl. C and X and V and F5 a lot. It did everything but Paste. I uninstalled the newest version and installed the original purchase that I had on CD, 2010 Build 369. It let me deleted the h3 tags with one minor glitch that was correctable in about a minute (that was strange) and I can now copy, cut and paste. Bummer, the new version had some nice features but the headaches are not worth it. I didn't remember if the original version I had on CD was usable with HTML5 & CSS3, but it is, so I'm fine for now. If any fixes come out for the newer version I'd sure like to be updated.
I just randomly put the opening and closing h3 tags in my script, utter chaos again. So, it looks like that was my bag somehow. I'm sorry to have addressed that matter. (don't know how I did it to begin with), but the copy and paste is definitely a cliche.

Hiya Dom,
Best way for us to give you any user to user assistance would be for you to post a link to the page you're having issues with (or site in general if it's all pages) and let us take a look at the code. I've used the new version of the HTML Editor without any issues that you've described above, so most like it's in your page and the old version is just being lazy about showing you the problem. I'm guessing there are CSS styles for that H3 tag that are the reason for it being there (maybe it has image items or styles attached to it that don't actually show in the HTML code.
Only way we can be sure of what it "might" be is to see it for ourselves.
