Yep, I agree with the comments as well, the facility to... Upload in one click, push, or shove, in one go!
Seems too much faffin about now..... :D and much preferred the old one hit way of doing it....

As Jo Ann has said, there is a button available in the menu bar options that does this, along with variants, though the icons are very similar. Could that old way be reinstated.....

The variant upload icons do all look a bit too much like one another though.................. ;)

Also...... When right clicking on the current page, the upload option now terminates at the 'Root'.
Whereas it always used to have my 'htdocs' in there.... 'htdocs' has gone!

Other than that......................., its all Goin Great :D

Just to say..........

I have found the htdocs setup area when uploading from the right mouse button on the page area.
The upload path needed resetting, I guess having my old version uninstalled first may have reset it all.

Anyway its in the upload settings area... So all ok now....

I also discovered the option to 'overwrite' or 'ask' when uploading files.... Great :D

I just wondered if there was going to be a short-term solution to this issue or something the development team may look at in the future? Sorry to be a nag but the update has rendered the software unusable for me and I need to either downgrade to the previous version or (reluctantly) look at alternative software.

For the moment, can I get back to the previous version and if so, how do I do it?

Hiya Keith,

If you open the Installation Instructions file that came with it, you'll see a link in there for going back to the old version.

I must say though, that although these few little issues are irritating at best, I can't see them as a reason to give it up totally, they are just little irritants for the most part.

Thanks Jo Ann

I've tried to put up with it but something seems which is a minor irritation when you do it once soon becomes HUGELY irritating when you do it 200 - 300 times a day. I wasn't that keen on the previous versions upload button as too many times I accidentally clicked on the 'Upload Entire Project' rather than just a single file - this just takes the problem to a whole new level.

Imagine having to use CTRL + SPACE every time you wanted to use a space when writing something; you'd soon go mad! I'm afraid I'm of the school of thought that says if something aint broken, don't try to fix it!

Been looking in there and there is a hot key, or rather 'Button' that uploads highlighted files
in the file listing on the left of the editor window....

It uploads without any prompts straight away... If you want a warning of overwrites or skip, you can set that side of it in the ftp server setup area.

To put this button on the toolbar. Go to.....

Tools > Toolbars and Menus > Customize.

Commands > Projects >

Select the 'Upload Selected Files' option and drag it onto the menu bar.

There are several upload options, and they look very similar so it can be a little confusing sometimes.

But this option uploads unconditionally without a prompt, all files highlighted... As soon as its pressed.

Heavens :)

I have mentioned the simililarity of the upload icons in the past, and there is confusion on what exactly
each one does. Not a huge thing, but an intuitive one none the less.
I sometimes have thought that the various options are nested in differing areas, meaning its easy to lose sight of what's available.

In the customise buttons area, there maybe could be an added slot..., that focuses on the upload options and have the icon family appearance given a makeover, to visually separate each one and alleviate confusion...

I think Jo Ann has mentioned in the past that the upload on right click of the files in the editor
window has changed its instantaneous behaviour..
I agree with her view, and the new extra popout seems a step backwards.

Haven't written C for years, but maybe the underlying code of this hotkey could be reassigned to the right mouse button when its used over selected files in the editor listing....

Am glad you are not going to bin the HTML Editor now though, its great stuff
