File association - Post ID 190970
With the latest HTML editor, I am not able to figure out how to associate a file to the editor. With the new location of the install, Windows doesn't seem to like this. Am I missing something?
I keep the HTML editor installed on my webserver, and am able to just double-click the server files I want to edit (A .wct extension I add to the program preferences), but now when I try to associate the files to the editor, and even go to the install directory and select coffee.exe, it is not allowed.
This never seemed to be an issue with earlier versions because it was installed in the program files area. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just something I have to live with?

That did the fix. Thanks for pointing me to the right spot.
I need to ask in that other thread, why not have the installer delete that registry branch in the first place.

I am having the same problem. Why in the name of all that's holy is CC Editor not installed where virtually all other programs are? This is a serious usability issue for me.
404 to the solution for me as well.

I edited the Send To list. Fixed it for me. This is still a dumb "enhancement."
