F11 (External Preview) not working...

Hi,
When testing code F12 does work, but F11 not.
It seems it's looking for IE 7,8 or 9, but windows 8 has IE10.
Previewing is not a problem, but I would like to use live update on my other monitor.
Is there any way to make Chrome or Firefox the default for F11?
Thanks in advance,
Herman

In HTML Editor go to Tools --> Preferences --> Additional Browsers, and set up which ones you like :)

Hi,
Thanks for the reply,
This was the first thing I did, at first still no success.
But because I did have more troubles with other web editing applications all of a sudden,
(I have also Expression Web 4, Rapid PHP and Dreamweaver 8.) I removed the last installed,
(Dreamweaver) a few minutes ago.
Everything works fine now, Dreamweaver is not compatible with win8 and was locking needed files.
Thanks again.

Dreamweaver is definitely compatible with Windows 8, not sure why it wouldn't work for you. Did you install it as Administrator, and try checking the Run as Administrator in the properties of the shortcut? Those 2 usually solve most problems with programs these days, but I can assure you it works just fine on windows 8.

Might be you had a bad install or even a bad download of the program too (if it wasn't the box version that is hehe). :)

Hi, Installed Dreamweaver 8 again, (as Administrator) same as before, everything works fine except preview and publication to website, but not only Dreamweaver, all the others do have problems with preview as well (everything all over the place, text and images do not line up etc. no live preview with F11 ) removed Dreamweaver, everything works again. After a bit of headscratching decided to ditch Dreamweaver, Expression Web 4 and Coffeecup HTML editor will do everything I need as well and are much more up to date.
Thanks to everybody for advice given.

Herman,

Open the HTML Editor and look at the bottom, a bit to the right. There you find a bit of a chain with either a red or a green blob. If it is red, click on the chain so that it gets green. Then I guess the external preview will work.
