DIV highlighting - Post ID 197621
When using the editor and when viewing a page in split screen, is there a way to view "DIV"s in block sections or at least have the DIVs show up highlighted?
If it's the "active" div you're trying to locate then that should work. If you're after highlighting the "active clicked on" div to see where show the start and end tags of a particular div, then that's not a feature as of yet. Hoping to see that in the future though
Other than that there's no way to color or highlight "specific" html tags, only html sections that are listed in the Modify Highlights preferences and unfortunately it doesn't include specific tag highlighting. Would be a nice suggestion in the suggestions thread though if you care to do that

ok,one more question ( I feel like Columbo), in the Direct FTP Editor, there is a carat that appears in the line numbers to indicate DIVs that you can collapse and then expand...where do I find that in the HTML Editor? It's an AWESOME feature!
It's not in the HTML Editor *grumbles* they just added that and the highlighting of divs to the DFTP so I haven't looked at that yet, but yeah that's things we're still waiting for in the HTML Editor so hopefully that means it's coming if they are getting them in other things.
Just adding to this & I know it's nearly 2 months since the last post... just watching this video showed a great illustration of the highlighting even though it's pretty simple - at about 2:24
