Thank you Peter!! I was hoping someone would be able to help them find that issue, well done!

I used Peter's steps above, and the same happened here. The file where I had typed something went white. When the saving option came up, I clicked Yes. When I reopened that file, it was still completely blank.

It's funny how we all saw the same thing happening but could never put the steps together to replicate the it. We must be inconsistent in our process.
Good job Peter, another issue resolved.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

It was a long night...., and at least we were able to solve the issue in the end.

Scott....

I did have a file that displayed with the contents on the screen not being the
contents that should have been there.... It was at file closing time, the same as in this issue....

I mentioned it in the thread previous to this one.....

Instead of a blank pge, the file had been assigned the contents of another....

Just asking out of interest, would/could this be happening due to the erroneous code that caused the blank screen ?

Glad that its going to get sorted though :)

Thanks Jo Ann :D

Good job Peter, - your persistence was worthwhile!

I find it fascinating, though, that by now having placed "The Issue" decisively on Scott's desk, we all consider it instantaneously "solved" :D !
This must say something about our unlimited faith in Scott's ability to create instantaneous fixes to anything - once it is on his desk...!

That made me laugh :)

This stuff isn't as easy as we think sometimes. But its something that should be fixable, maybe the code's got a loose end or something.....

I work in Mechanical Engineering, and today .05mm error could have cost a fortune... Sometimes things are not as easy as they seem. With a lot taken for granted now...

Am looking forward to the HTML Editor update though, its very very good stuff

Spect Scott's compiler is red hot and he's crackin on with it as we speak  ..............................................................

That happened to me too once! I reported it here, but got the feeling that it was too weird to be replicated by anyone. Do you remember exactly what you did when that happened?

I do Inger

Same sort of thing....

But I had about 5 or 7 files open.

I had edited one or two... and SAVED them all..... Then uploaded the whole lot.

It was when I closed them all with 'File Close'...............

They all closed except one, which was flagged up as unsaved with the 'Confirm ;Save' 'No' 'Cancel'
dialogue box popping up.

On looking at the code in the file behind the dialogue box, it was DEFINITELY the contents of one of the others....

I was wondering if it was related to this issue too..... File pointers gone awol or something like that.... ?
