I understand from previous threads that it is acceptable to customize templates by changing colors/images.

I am using CoffeeCup to design a website for the company I work for, and they have requested that the "designed by CoffeeCup" stamp be removed from the page. Is this possible, and if so, does it pose any copyright issues? I want to give credit where credit is due, but their point is that it makes our site look unprofessional to have that on the main page.

If you own the software that has the included theme or you purchased the theme separately, you can fully customize it however you like. The link does not have to remain.
