CSS Menu on 2 Lines? - Post ID 139524
Is there any way that I can have create a CSS menu that is on 2 lines? My client's current menu is here: http://www.thepolkadotstore.com/
We would like to have a menu that looks like that but is a CSS menu with the drop downs. Here is what I've been working on: http://www.thepolkadotstore.com/test.shtml How can I get this menu to look like the above menu using a CSS menu?
I am using Windows 7 and have the registered version of HTML Editor 2010 SE 2010 Build 365.
Thanks so much!
Janet

Hiya Pine,
Have you tried creating 2 separate menus and placing them one under the other? That would probably be the simplest way

It appears that is what she has already done. You can move the menus closer together by reducing the margins.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Thank you so much! Reducing the margins fixed it.
Does anyone know how I can make each block on the menu a certain width--each one will vary with me entering the width I want it to be? I am trying to get the menu to fit perfectly across the web page.

Can't you control the width or background of the menu from within the program? That would be easier than editing the stylesheet or code.
Also, you have two link tags in the body of your code. They should be in the head section. If you can't find them, do a search for link.

Thanks--I have figured out how to control the width of the menu. I just have one question--how to get the whole menu to be centered, rather than set to the left? I have tried everything I can think of and have done a lot of research. Can anyone help?
Thanks again!

Thanks again!

Hiya Janet,
Are you still doing the test link? or is it the menu on the main first link? The one in the first link is already centered nicely, looks good to me even though it's just text links it works nice.
The second lik has the square button look and looks a bit clumsy to be honest I think because it looks like there's just a hint of overlap there. Is this the one you want centered? Let us know which one(s) you're working with so we tell ya the right thing

The test link is the one I need help on. I want the whole thing to be centered, rather than leaning left.
I refreshed the test link page, so you can see how it is now.
Thanks so much for your time!
