It's not really an image editor as such, rather an artistic tool. The designer of the software found a niche in the market with editors etc, or that's what I pick up and made the software really for people who like to play around with arty stuff.
PNG is the default file system, but you can use JPG/Bitmap/TGA. There's a free download to play around with but it comes with a watermark, but that's what I did a few years. Then I've come back to it because it's got better. Also the chap and the team who designs it listen to ways to improve.

For some web designs like gaming and stuff it would really come in handy. I'm going to do a one with super heroes and that type of thing which flame painter will become a great tool - or that's the theory LOL

I normally don't make gaming sites, only when I help out here. ;) But I have bookmarked that programme and if I find that I need some artistic flair to something, I'll use it. If I find myself using it often, I may probably buy it.

Yes it does have it's uses and always there when needed. I know doing stuff like that in any other editor it's like treading in treacle with rubbish results.

I tried the online interface, saved it. And then took it up in Photoshop and deleted the background colour. The result was good, especially if the image is created on the white background.
