Code losing color in the code editor...
wondering if anybody else has seen this glitch
to clarify, while in the code editor, i start to edit code in the middle of a page and all of the code past where i'm editing loses the colors that have been setup in Preferences//Editor Options//Modify Highlighting, and defaults to a standard black/white.

Could be related to having an open tag that you didn't properly close, do you have the code we can look at?

I just tested this out for myself - but all my colours remain visible according to my preferences. As David says...maybe a screenshot to show us the problem and a few more details might help understand this one.

Code is colored correctly:

Hit enter to insert more code, and color defaults to black/white and remains that way until clicking on a different document tab.

If I click on a different tab and then go back to the tab i was on, the color goes back to normal.

Brian,
It suddenly hit me yesterday what might be happening here...
I was adding a comment in the middle of some coding yesterday and realised that until the comment had been completed, all the code beneath took on my colour preference for the comments. That is because until you close the comment, all the following code is technically part of the comment. Hope that is clear. This would of course apply to any tags which are still open, and evident if you have different colour preferences for different parts of the coding.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
