Code Editor updating to Preview
Using Version 12 Build 375
I have and existing website I am trying to update. It has images in it using the following code:
<![if !vml]><img width=100 height=100
src="images/Pic_1.jpg" align=left alt="title_1"
border=0 v:shapes="_x0000_s1032">
so I change it to:
<![if !vml]><img width=100 height=100
src="images/Pic_2.jpg" align=left alt="title_1"
border=0 v:shapes="_x0000_s1032">
The change is a different .jpg file in the same file folder.
Click to Preview Tab, it shows Pic_1. Press F12, it shows Pic_1.
Test with Default Browser (Firefox) and it shows Pic_2!
Test with Favorite Browser (IE, not My favorite browser!) and it shows Pic_1.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Tim

Update your software to version 12.7 Build 454.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Is what I am seeing a common bug in v12? What does the upgrade do?
New versions are created to either enhance features or to fix problems. I would go ahead and update. It's free after all.

Is it possible that IE has cached the Pic_1 version and so has not recognized the Pic_2 version? When confronted by puzzling browser behavior, it never hurts to clear the cache explicitly.

Yes, I looked just like that in 1962.

<![if !vml]> . Is that part of left over php code vml is vector markup language.
It seems a strange way just to display an image.. Do you have vector produced diagrams on your page
That is saying not if not vml

I'm not sure what the issue is here, but I wouldn't advise upgrading to solve it unless you have two monitors. The new version does not have the preview and code edit tabs on the top and the file status tabs on the bottom. I spent the better part of a day discovering this. Thank goodness I didn't update my own version or I'd have to go out and buy another monitor.
I would like to know what happened. I bought two copies in December 2011 of what was then called version 12 build 375. It worked great and I was going to install the second copy at the office. I went to my account on the website and discovered that the only download available was version 12.7 build 454 and when I downloaded and installed that I got an entirely different view with no tab for code edit and preview. Were we notified?

At least 5 times since it was released in January, so yes, you were notified.

Court You want to consider doing what I have. Each update that comes out and I download I also copy the install file to disk. Two reasons. Maybe CC goes belly up(Sorry Scott) and for the reason you mentioned if you upgrade and not quite satisfied go back to the previous version. You were given each copy and we are all notified by a email address we keep current. Reinstall the copy you like to use. If you have deleted it then maybe you could seek a copy at a fee.
If you go over the what's new you will find features added it is only the visual editing in the Editor that was Removed for a very viable reason.
Some people have difficulty adapting to change. I create programs and am I used to that. I am sure after a while you would not like to change it.
