CC HTML - FTP Upload problem - Post...

Hi all,

I just bought this sw and have following problem:

I started CC HTML editor, opened *.php file, did some change and use function Upload to FTP to upload it to my testing FTP server. It was done without any problems. Then I made another change in this php document and tried to upload it again - Upload to server window appeared but upload didn't start. I have to restart editor and then it again worked (but only first document).

I'm almost sure that it is not problem with ftp server - i'm using Linux in vmware emulation for tests and with other softwares ftp worked fine (I tried trial version of Macromedia Dreamweaver, also ftp clients are working fine).

Any suggestions?

Thanx.

I'm having the same problem, so I'm interested in what the response might be. I've used the editor for years with no problem, but then this started recently, probably with an update. I wrote to Support with the error message generated when the subsequent uploads are attempted, but never heard back anything. This is the error message...

Error 500 ESocketException: Error 10091 in Function Connect (socket)
Network subsystem is unusable

Like you, all my other editor and programs work correctly.

The only time I can repeat this error message is if I enter the wrong server address. Make sure you only put your address like
ftp.www.yourhost.com no ftp:// or http://
do not enter any / after the .com
try using passive connection.
your root directory would be ../
any other directory looks like directory/
I do use the HTML editor and it's FTP to edit and transfer PHP files all the time and I have no problems with it here.

No, everything is set up as stated, and always worked before. The error message comes AFTER the first successful upload, and this has just started recently.

Also on my side is everything configured correctly (but I didn't recieve any error message). Im using IP address of may fpt server instead of domain name. I also tried both pasive and non-passive connection. The same results - first upload OK, next will hang.

Guy's
try using the built in Free FTP program and see if that works correctly, you can find it as a link in the "Tools>Applications".
I'm also wondering if your host has a time limit between uploads, check with your service provider. If all else fails call CC Customer Care!

As I mentioned, I'm using unix machine inside vmware so it is completly managed by me and I'm sure that there is no time limit between uploads.

Free FTP works fine, just as the full version of DirectFTP or CuteFTP does. It's the quick, internal upload of CC that stalls after the first upload. I UL to different sites, and this is happening at all of them.

At least you guys have had a go on the merry go round... I can't even jump on yet! Anybody else having problems booting up the FreeFTP or the Direct FTP on Windows XP Home with Service pack 2? Yes, I can download the software but when I try and run them I get the "encountered a problem starting the .exe file. Have tried firewall settings ON /OFF, Passive FTP / Active FTP. If not, can anybody recommend any other FTP program? Thanks.

Does the program start? You mentioned the exe had an error when you tried to run the program but then you stated you tried passive ftp on an off.

Have you verified that you have given our program access to connect to the Internet?
