Can't uninstall from non-default...

I just upgraded from Free HTML Editor to HTML Editor. I tried and failed to uninstall Free HTML Editor first; Windows 10 (Pro v2009) told me it "couldn't open INSTALL.LOG file". So I went ahead and installed HTML Editor anyway, figuring it would probably install over the top. But it didn't. Now I have an installation of HTML Editor whose folder (D:\CoffeeCup Software) includes the Free HTML Editor installation (D:\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup Free HTML Editor) :(. I tried to uninstall HTML Editor and start over and I got the same error message. So now I have a free copy and a paid copy and I can't uninstall either of them. All I want is to uninstall both and reinstall just the paid version, but I do want to be able to uninstall it!

(I can find both INSTALL.LOGs; they are in the respective installation directories. So it seems the Wise Installation Wizard is not wise enough to be able to handle any install location other than the default one.)

In the folder Coffeecup Software, you should find a file named unwise.exe. That is the uninstaller file. If you don't have it, or if it is not working, you're best bet is to contact CC support by clicking on your name top right on this page.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Thank you for a prompt reply, Inger. I tried the unwise.exe and go tht e same result, so I presume that is what Windows was using when I tried to uninstall from Windows Settings\Apps & Features. I'll contact CC tech support as you suggest. Thanks again!
