I just downloaded and installed the HTML Editor Themes, but I can't find them when I run HTML Editor.

If I look in the folder they claim to be in (Shopping Cart, would you believe!) there are only uninstaller files

Well, that's where they have put themselves on my machine. Maybe you could reinstall and make a note of where they go?

I did just that.
In Shopping Cart, but only the uninstaller files.
I would have expected to open HTML Editor and see them under 'Templates'.
So where are they?

I had the same problem and decided to so solved it by simply creating a new folder called 'html templates' downloaded the themes to the new folder I created and unpacked them there. So when I use the Html editor I just go to the folder I created.

Hope this helps.

The following step-by-step instructions will show you how to install HTML Editor Themes.

1. Download your HTML Editor Themes from your Customer Care Center.
The themes will be in ZIP format.

2. Make sure HTML Editor is closed.

3. Extract the XML file and the accompanying folder in the theme ZIP files to the desired location on your computer.

4. Open HTML Editor and use the Files tab to select the folder where you unzipped your themes. The window beneath the one you used to browse your computer will display your theme files.

5. Double-click the page you wish to edit, such as index, about-us or contact-us. It will open in the Code Editor, and you will be able to modify it normally.

I recently bought some themes for HTML Editor when you were doing the theme deal when the Shopping Cart Creator was released. I downloaded the themes when they were zip files, but then last week, I noticed they were put into installer packs (HTMLEditor-AfterTwilightThemePack-3.1, HTMLEditor-BrightSideThemePack-3.1, HTMLEditor-SophisticationThemePack-3.1 and HTMLEditor-EssentialsThemePack-3.1), but when I ran the installers, they get put into the Templates folder instead of the Themes folder. Is there a way around this? Maybe if CoffeeCup re-releases these packs, you may want to change the path for each installer, that way CoffeeCup HTML Editor will pick the themes up in its themes window! It's only a suggestion, but seeing as the Templates option has been taken out of the program and replace by Themes, I think it is only fitting the installers put the files in the folder they should be in. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Brad for pointing that out. I thought we had removed those from our system. The exe's have been replaced by traditional zip files and you can access them here at http://www.coffeecup.com/help/myorders/themes/

Thanks Scott,

You're welcome! I'm happy to point things like that out, thanks for responding to me as well! I've downloaded the After Twilight, Bright Side and Sophistication HTML Editor packs from the download center, but I've noticed the Essentials pack (or the Shopping Cart Default HTML Editor Theme Pack according to the Order History page) hasn't been added to my Themes Downloads area. Is that one being updated or can't I get that one again?

In a way, I like the zip file format as you have more control over where the files go, so I'm glad the exe files got changed to the zip file format!

Thanks again!:)

I'm sorry about this, but I forgot to ask you will the HTML Editor pick up the themes or does it need to have a preview PNG file to show?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
