Automatic file changes / formatting...

Greetings,

Recently just about any file I open including txt files open up with a * by the file name indicating a change to the file has been made. When I save the file it changes the formatting. While the files open up inside the HTML editor formatted correctly after a save, they do not open the same way with other programs like notepad. I've ran into a few issues that created server side errors because of the formatting change.

I've uninstalled, re-installed, did the HTML Editor cleanup both by hand and with the program provided. I even changed install folder on the last install.

Other editors work just fine on my system.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your time.

Do you have the newest version of the editor?:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

There are still a handful of files that still do that for me and many others, but it shouldn't be doing that for "all" the files, so same question as Eric asked, do you have the newest version?

Sorry for the long delay...

I have the latest version installed, on a clean Windows 7 Pro X64 install and I still have the same issue.

By clean I mean new install with all the normal MS updates, Office 2010 Pro, Adobe CS5 Master Collection, FlashFXP, Chrome, Trillian and Spotify.

Any place to find older versions? I never had this issue with version 11.

Thank you.
