Can anyone tell me how to add a column to the right of the last column in a table? When I try to use the insert column command in the Visual Editor it always adds the new column to the left of the column I am currently editing.

Are you using both the visual and the html editor at the same time?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I am using the Visual Editor tab in the HTML editor. If the cursor is in the last column of a table and you click on the Visual Table Items drop down and select insert column it adds a column to the right. What I want is a new, blank column to the left of the last column in the table.

This is interesting, did they just add this table feature in the last build or have I misunderstood that the Visual Tab of the HTML Editor didn't have a table maker before? I was under the impression that it didn't have one at all on the Visual Tab.

There's a table maker but I can't find the items drop down that Bill is talking about. Bill are you using the table designer?

Edit I found it. It's in the menu bar not the main menu.:)

As far as I can tell with the visual you have no choice to go left. So you might have to insert a new column and cut and paste data to the correct columns.

Just out of curiosity Bill, why aren't you using Visual Site Designer instead of the HTML Editor visual tab? It's got a whoooole lot more features as that is basically where the progression of the Visual Editor went and the visual tab in HTML Editor has pretty much not been updated and I'm not sure it will be even. Just curious is all since VSD is a much better tool to use for visual editing than the HTML Editor is. :)

Thanks, Jo Ann. There really is no reason that I'm not using Visual Site Designer, other then I have the HTML Editor on my computer. I'll download Visula Site Designer and give it a try.

Yeah check out the trial version and see if it's any better than the HTML Editor. I don't know if it does tables, but I do know you can create tables using the code side of the HTML Editor and insert them into VSD with the HTML Tool in it so since you have both tools you'll have a nice combo to check code with. Just don't swap between the Visual and Code editor tabs of the HTML Editor when you do and you should have some nice tool abilities having both programs :)
