Hello,

I was wondering if we (users) have access to the demo theme previewed in FD shop page.
https://form-designer.coffeecup.com/show-cases/visual-options/index.html

CoffeeCup's site organization past the main nav bar has a lot to be desired. After digging through a multitude of searches. The only FDtheme, which isn't even a theme was

You'll probably have to create your own demos for FD. The first one you mention shouldn't be impossible to replicate.
The second one was offered as a freebie some time ago, if I'm not mistaken. If you are receiving the newsletters from CC, it could be worth looking through them a couple of months back.

One of my favorite things to do with RSD/FD/Coffeecup software. Is I like to replicate/reproduce live website in various different frameworks. So I already began to do that. I don't necessarily need a theme; just wanted to see what I could do with FD. I don't look at the newsletter often, but worth a try.

Slightly off-topic however relevant to FD.
With FD being a tuned down version of RSD. Is there really any point to making forms inside FD?
I've barely used FD, and after a year of owning it. I just now have a need for it. So I'm familiarizing myself with the basics. However, I'm extremely familiar with RSD.

Hi,
I wouldn't call FD a 'tuned down version of RSD'. Personally I have made the forms I've needed in (R)SD, but for people who are using other apps, like e.g. manually coding in HTML Editor, a standalone form designer will be a very handy tool. FD has some features that are lacking in SD, so if they would only merge it with WFB, for the sake of the back-end, it would become very useful indeed.

I had a look at the website in your singature and have seen the templates you are displaying. To be fair to CC, I think you ought to mention where you found them. I know those templates particularly well, since I have converted at least half of them myself, from the RSD2.5 version. If you like recreating sites, you could do some work on the orange one, 'Other worlds', as it is still in the 2.5 version.

While I like building forms in SD, I've found that FD has quite a few features that SD forms do not have. As I've followed the workflow below, I've found that it gets quicker and quicker.

Create all the fields in WFB.
Create the front end with FD.
Publish WFB to CC servers. Copy link.
Add the link to FD <form> action. Export.
Copy the code to an html element in SD.

It took a few times using FD to get used to building forms in it. Once I got used to it, I actually prefer building forms with FD over SD.

My hope in the future is that CC will add all the functionality of FD into SD. Until then, most of the forms I build will probably be with FD.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.

I suppose the phase " tuned down " wasn't appropriate. As I meant " tuned down " in the sense SD allows you to make forms in other frameworks. FD is definitely a useful product, and I know I just need to become more familiar with it.
Regarding the templates in my website. I developed that section as way to gain experience with that sort of layout. Using Coffeecup's themes as the content. Since it's complete (some time in May) I've just left it be .As their content (templates) are strictly demonstration and not something i've labeled for resale. I'm currently in the midst of a new webform integration project for a job I started on the first. Appreciate the thoughts, and suggestions!

I dived into FD only to find out I lack experience with Foundation (develop almost strictly in materialize). So I know that Ijust need some more practice to match my skill in RSD.

However, I also started using the Web-form builder. And I gotta say it's just better than ( personal ) FD. It has the back-end functionality. That helps noobs make web-forms, that I feel FD lacks. If FD and WFB were combined. Phew, that would be one helluva piece of software.

On topic.

I keep getting an error when trying to import my exported WFB inside RSD resources. Its having an issue importing the .php file

Using WFB in combination with SD requires that you upload the whole shoot of the WFB files seaparately to your server. I mean of course everything that is inside the xxx_exported folder, not the folder itelf. Then you use a html element in SD to place the code with the iframe where you want it to appear, make sure that the paths are correct. In other words, you don't add anything from the form into the SD resources.

And yes, we all hope that WFB and FD will be merged some time in a not so distant future. :)

I have the same question: is the demo themes available anywhere?

I can share that I recently asked support the same line of question. Here is what I said.

Does form designer only work with foundations framework? When will this app start getting some attention? I can't seem to find any free templates other than the three that came with FD. Still waiting for the day when FD creates the backend like wfb.

The reply.

Hello,

I will be happy to assist you.

While the projects are only Foundation-based, you can use the exported form within any project type that you want (Bootstrap, Materialize, etc.) At this time we don't have any additional themes for the responsive Form Designer app. We have a few updates for Email Designer and Grid Builder scheduled then Form Designer is up after that. I will be happy to keep you posted once advancements are made.

Warm regards,

I have not heard anything since then. I hope that helps.
