why oh why did i bother to install the latest version of direct ftp, it is with out doubt the most useless ftp client i have ever come accross,
1- it will not upload folders and the contents in any folder.as for nested folders dont even go there or you may fire your pc out the window.
for a folder you must upload wait for error ,refresh access folder load contents.
2- constantly switching off for no apparent reason
3- errors errors errors all the bloody time.

So you can imagine the fun installing wordpress, or joomla every single folder has to be loaded , refresh and then load folder content,what gives cc ?

You might want to address these issues with a support ticket. I too have the latest version of Direct FTP, switched from a "FREE" program that came with my server setup. I've not seen any of the issues you listed above. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised that ALL files within 3 layers of folders uploaded with only 1 minor hitch, re-queing that file that failed (on the main level) went through fine on the second try.
