I downloaded and installed the FTP from your post here and when I tried to open up the application I got the error message...
"Sorry, this beta version is no longer valid" (or something similar)

Are you sure you download the correct file? This version does not expire until the end of June. I also switched my date/time to that strange DDMMYY format, and it worked still.
I would suggest you make sure the date on your computer is correct.

Same as at Janys' here. It said the version had expired. 
Does this come from Europe being ahead of you?
Edit: I tried to set the same time zone as you have over at the CC towers, but even that didn't help. I don't want to start messing with the system clock here...
