Problem connecting to CoffeeCup 6.7...

I just bought a new computer that runs Windows 7 and got CoffeeCup 6.7 and one of the websites that I have will not connect. I can still connect fine with my 10 year old laptop with an older version of CoffeeCup, but this 6.7 on my 64 bit Windows 7 won't connect. What might the problem be?

I should tell you that I am able to connect my other website from the 6.7 version on Windows 7, so it just seems to be a problem with one site. I have checked all of the protocols, user name, password, etc., and everything is correct.

Try selecting Passive mode.

Also firewalls and virus protection software can interfere with uploads.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

I, also have a problem with one of my sites. I tried passive mode and it connected fine but the error keeps popping up. Very annoying. When I use a different ftp program I have no errors and connecting is very fast.
The error I get is "received an abnormal reply to RETR command.....response: 425 Cannot open data connection.

Sandra, please open a support ticket and one of our techs will look into this for you. When opening the ticket, I need you to also send us a log file so we can see what is going on.

1. Select the Direct FTP desktop icon and hold down the Shift key while double-clicking with your mouse. (Note: The Direct FTP icon must be located on your desktop. If it is not, move it there.)

2. A window will pop up. Make a note of the path that appears in it, and then select Yes.

3. Direct FTP will open. Try to connect to your server again and close the program.

4. Go to the path you made a note of, and send us the "DFTP Debug 6.7 log.txt".

It would also help us if we had FTP access, so if you are comfortable with that, please provide that in the support ticket as well. Please make sure you are on build 1722.

I just bought a new Dell XPS 7100 with Windows 7 (64 bit). I'm having problems uploading files on ftp 6.7 too. I keep getting the following error message:

(((When sending custom QUOTE commands to the remote server, one of the commands returned a 400 or higher error code. [21] Additional information:))) . (no additional information displays for me to read)

I can upload NEW FILES but get the above message when I attempt to upload updated files and folders over existing ones.

I also, have Windows 7 Pro 64bit and can't connect with my web host server. The Direct FTP help file info does not match the help information of my web host (LunarPages). They say that they no longer support your FTP program.
Here is the error message that I get:

Did you try checking "Passive mode"?

Yes I did, Scott.
I think that the configuration is not set correctly. I don't see enough data input blocks for Direct FTP.
I didn't have a problem with WSftp.
Thanks

I fiddled with the settings some more and checked "passive" with that combination...and it worked!
Thanks for your help
