When I try to delete a folder on my Linux Godaddy Server I get this message:

Error #8: Direct FTP got a strange or invalid response from the server. Please contact your Web host about this; there is likely a configuration error on the remote server.

If I use a different FTP program, the folder deletes just fine.

Any ideas why?

I will report this to CoffeeCup.

Do you know what type of server you have with GoDaddy?

Was this a newly created folder, or an old folder?

Was the folder empty, or did it have files inside the folder?

Did you immediately try a second time to delete the folder? (sometimes that will work.)

Server Type: Linux

Folders were both new and old

What I found out that is if the folder had folders within. I would have to keep clicking until I got to the last folder then delete backwards until I got to the main.

I tried to delete a couple times right away with no success.
