FTP Direct bounces out of remote...

When I connect using CC FTP Direct with it directed to connect to remote folder /public_html/ or public_html/ or any other specific folder it shows it start to go there and then go up one level and stay there. Then I can click into the correct folder and it is fine, but it didn't used to do this.

I'm on Version 6.7 Build 1822 and I think this started one or two builds before that.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Not having that issue here at all Gabi, are you sure you have the permissions setup correctly to access the other folders? Sometimes that can mess with whether or not DirectFTP can access a folder or not.

You still have that issue too Bruzer? Thought you got that fixed a long time ago, sorry to hear that too. I'll take it you've tried the uninstall, ccleaner, reboot, reinstall process already then too? If not try that, you too Gabi if your permissions are correctly setup.

ccleaner can be found at http://www.piriform.com which is a computer cleaner, very light weight and very light intrusion, won't mess you up, just cleans up temp and cookies and registry errors and such.

Hi Jo Ann,
Yeah I did most of that thanks for the suggestion though. I put in a support a while back on this issue but we couldn't find any reason for it. But to me, it's not as bothersome as to others. I'm running XP SP3 and It's been the last couple upgrades as well. Might be a totally different reason for Gabi's so maybe she should submit a support ticket. :)

Thanks

Very strange Bruzer, I ran it on XP SP3 for quite a long time, couple years at least through all the upgrades, and although I do recall one that was messed up with that problem of reverting to other directories, they found the bug and fixed it a few versions or so ago already so I wonder if you have some residual sitting on your machine or somethign that didn't get removed with the updates. Dunno much on that though sorry.

Gabi I would definitely put a support ticket in too and see if the team can get you some help on that issue and hopefully it's not the same thing Bruzer is having issues with :/

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
