The FTP program sometimes connects to the server and then disconnects. When it does not connect, gives this error:
"The remote server denied login. Your username and/or password is not correct, or attempting more concurrent connections than the server allows. [67] Additional information: Access denied: 530.
Server has replied: [530] Your FTP session could not be opened. If you continue to have problems, please visit: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/webhosting/gftp/."
What do I do?? Please help!

Have you set the ftp to use passive mode?

Yes, I have tried changing that too. I have the latest release of the software - uninstalled and reinstalled. Thanks.

In your server settings (my servers) for that server, what number is in the connections area?

Generally the two things I have run into is not being in passive mode, or trying to have multiple connections to the same site simultaneously. Since both of these seem to not be the case here all I can suggest is open a support ticket so the developers can look closer at this for you.
In the menu above, select get support and then my support area to open a ticket, usually things are resolved fast, sorry if I wasn't giving enough input, I had about 4 threads going at the same time.
