I downloaded the 4.0 version of the Free FTP since I still haven't decided on whether I want to purchase the software yet. When I go to open my files on my computer to upload them to my website, the software shuts down and closes. What's up with this and how does it get fixed?

I'm starting to worry about your computer. You had an older post saying you couldn't get VSD to work either. I'm downloading Free FTP 4.0 right now and will see if I have any issues with a couple versions of Windows and different servers. Any extra detail could be helpful, like what version of Windows you're running. Always good to run some antivirus/antispyware type of apps when you're having stability issues of any kind. I, personally, also test my RAM at time with utilities like Memtest32, but if it's a consistent crash, that's less likely the case.
