Editor Opens Two Files and Crashes...

Upgraded to Version 6.8 Build 1904.

When I click on a file to edit, it opens the file twice in the editor window. When I try to close a file, it asks me if I want to save changes even if I have made none. No matter what action I take it then crashes.

Running on a Vista 64 bit PC.

I would suggest opening a support ticket and provide us with detailed steps on how to replicate this and we will see if we can find a way to fix it for ya.

Just for noting here, I too get the save issue with open files that I haven't made any changes to. Not 100% of the time, but a pretty high percentage of the time. Doesn't seem to matter what type of file, but I'll have to play with it when I get home to see if opening specific files first or last makes any difference on that.

Are you on Vista JoAnn?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I logged a support ticket. So solution yet.

I am on Vista 64 bit.

Also I used to be able to navigate to ftp log files, which are located just above public_html for all my siteson my server, to view them and now I get

"Connected, but could not open "/usr/local/apache/domlogs/XXXXXXl". It may not exist or you don't have permission to open it with the protocol you are using."

I was told the save thing happens ALL the time and is actually a feature of the software.

Don't think it's supposed to do the Save issue if you haven't made any changes on HTML files.

I am on Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit

I still have this problem. I logged a Ticket but nothing was resolved.

Unfortumately I will have to abandon CoffeeCup after using it for years since it won't run on a 64 bit machine.

Kym - Like others here, I'm running CC products on my 64-bit system... I am more and more convinced that there are inconsistencies with WINDOWS and how it runs/runs other programs on various HARDWARE... More than once, I've seen two computers of the same "age" running the same version of WIN 64-bit OS and the same version of "xyz" software, computer 1 runs things fine computer 2 crashes. I believe that is what you're looking at here as well...

I'd have to second Eric's recommendation to ditch Vista and move on over to the WIN 7 pool, come on in, the water's fine ;)
