DirectFTP won't connect to my ISP's ftp server when another program will. Getting a timeout error. Same settings in each program. Tested by giving DirectFTP permission to communicate for both public and private networks in windows 7 firewall and then by unchecking DirectFTP entirely. Why would DirectFTP be unable to connect when the other program can?

I would suggest you open a support ticket with CC to discuss this with them. They may require access to your ftp server to check it out and it's not a good idea to post that information here so best to work with them on this issue. Good luck with it.
