I' m having problems with the ftp connection just hanging or reporting that it is busy. I've always had this problem using Direct FTP, and I just ended up using the Upload from command from the hosting company control panel. But since I paid for the software I would really like to use it.

Have you been able to use Direct FTP at all?

Have you tried to (1) un-install Direct FTP, (2) reboot, (3) download a fresh copy, and (4) install?
