Hmm, as Eric stated, I have also uploaded htm as well as html, php and all other files no problem. But I am on Win7. I wonder if this is a Win8 issue?? Heven't really heard of any problems with Win8 so I wouldn't think so. Have you opened a support topic?
If so, please post back and let us know if you find a solution.

I opened a Support Topic:
(I am uploading old htm and html files and they arrive with no content i.e zero size and obviously will not run.}

Adam and Scott have tried everything they can think of and I still cannot cure the fault. It all works on their computers but won't work on mine. I re-installed and it worked for a few uploads then started failing again.
I am going to persevere and hope I get it sorted in the end as I need to use Windows 8.1. I can still use Terrapin on XP computers so I am not in trouble yet.

Are you running any anti virus?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I have turned off antivirus and firewall - made no difference. Nobody knows what the problem is but I have to presume that it is some setting on my computer seeing as all the others work OK.

Are you able to 'publish' your site files with HTML Editor or VSD?
Have you tried using Filezilla, just to see what happens?

One thing you might look at is your 'Transfer Mode'...
Try the various modes and see if it makes a difference.

I tried everything and it made no odds then suddenly the graphics preview went haywire - each image from the server file being just a mass of coloured stripes and nothing would sort that either. So I have now given up and agreed a refund.
The program is exactly what I want to replace Terrapin so I will have to try Filezilla next.

That really sounds exactly like a image file that has been uploaded in ASCII mode.
Did you try to upload with Binary mode specified? Do not use the 'Auto' option, only 'Binary'! (see Gunsmoke's post for details of where to find the transfer mode choice - under 'Actions')

Yes, I did try every setting and option and a complete re-install and nothing changed. The main prob. was the empty uploaded htm and html files.

Did you delete everything off the server manually then re-upload?

No, I was not that daft! I uploaded just 4 files and they all arrived empty. I did it many times with the same files and just about 5 times out of 30 they worked properly and arrived in working condition.
After each failure I re-uploaded them with Terrapin on an XP computer.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
