Direct FTP 6.2 Graphics Corrupting

Recently, some graphics uploaded on Direct FTP 6.2 get corrupted and the graphic gets condensed into about a space of 3 or 4 lines. This happens with .jpg and .gif. I upload on auto but have tried binary and ASCii and they still corrupt. Fortunately, this doesn't happen with all the graphics. They are all created on photoshop. I use OS Vista.

Has this happened to anyone else? My only recourse is to upload the graphics again on my mac which uses a different ftp program.

miendo,

You may want to click on profile and change your forum name to something other than your email address.

How long have you been using Direct FTP, and did the program work properly at one time? If you have had it a while and it only recently started having problems, try un-instaling, rebooting the computer, and reinstalling. You may want to download a fresh version before the install.

Let us know if that fixes the problem.

Hi billr

Thanks, I have been using CoffeeCup FTP for a few months at least and really like it.

It used to upload and download graphics just fine.

I will uninstall and re-install a fresh copy. Maybe it had something to do with an OS update.

Will let you know what happens.

I also updated my profile. Thanks, I didn't realize my user name was the same as my email address.

Miendo,

Do let us know if the reload works. Sometimes updates have unintended consequences, and mess up working programs.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
