I've been using cc ftp for a few years now, with no problems. Just recently though after a Trend Micro Anti-Spyware update and system scan it came up with a hit for spyware ACM.
Symantec has it listed as a keylogger program, and names the same components as Trend. (for example: polarziplight.ZIPlight)
It's not beyond my comprehension to assume that ftp programs are indeed manufactured to transfer data, and that's what is tripping up the spyware scanning software. Or that when I delete the items from the scan, that one of them is a cc ftp component, which subsequently renders it useless. I just bring this up to check and see if there is something unnecessary bundled with the cc ftp program.
Thanks for the help.
