This is my first website I've ever built, so please assume that I know almost nothing about computers. I bought the CoffeeCup software because it claimed "one click web publishing". Hmmm....
Well, I have built my pages, and the linked pages and images work well when I "preview" the site, but when I hit send it gives me a window telling me that it can't connect to the server, and to check the spelling of my username and password. I am pretty sure that these are correct, assuming I'm using the username/password combo that it wants ( I am using the username and password for my webhost/website (bluedomino) account)
What am I doing wrong? I have been trying for days to get this to work.
Please help.
Thanks.
Paul

Hi

First what application are you using? We have 22 applications all with FTP built in.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the reply. You'll have to explain your question a little more. I'm not sure what you mean by application. Can you give me an example?

I am having a similar problem when I try to upload 2 different files or the same file twice. The html editor 2006 will freeze up and shut all the open files saved or not and I have to restart the program. This happens every time I upload more than one file in one program useage.

We have many applications, CoffeeCup DirectFTP, CoffeecCup Visual Site Designer, CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2006... All of them have a built in FTP application. I need to know what application you are using.

Pamela

In the editor there are 2 ways to upload. Are you using the File/Upload method or the Free FTP?

My apologies for posting twice in a row but it has been over a month and I have not seen an answer to my post above. So I have since download the html editor 2006 D version updated on 3/8/2006 and tried to see if the ftp problem I was having was fixed. AFter only one file the same problem continues to exist - I open a file or create a new php file or html file and save the document, I then go to the disk icon drop down menu and use upload file to server. I choose my server and the ftp pop-up window appears saying connecting - the first time I do the above steps all works well. However if I try to upload that same file after some changes using the method above the program freezes eventually I get the windows pop-up asking me to end the non-responsive program now. If I have more than one document open all the changes made in it that have not been saved of course are lost.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated - I have enjoyed using your product for a long time and have been extremely satisfied by prior versions however this bug is troublesome.

If the problem is not being worked on any time soon is there anyway I might be able to get a previous version of the html editor that I had on my old computer that worked wonderfully but I no longer have the downloaded file for?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
