http://www.uphilltheband.com doesn't change at all for me.:) Like Scott is showing you in the code you more then likely have text box's that are bigger then they need to be. Basically I think you have space at the bottom of your text box where you hit the return at the end of entering your text. This creates the gap for the text to behave the way it is.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

When I view this site on the laptop all the boxes are jumbled to the left. These boxes do not have <BR> codes in them. They look fine on the XP and on a friends Mac.

Sounds like it is the laptop. that is messing it up. Now the question is why? What can I adjust and can I force that adjustment through the code so that others do not experience the problem?

That is exactly what the issue is. Now compound that with every text element on the page that has this issue, that creates major problems with the markup and will cause all sorts of issues.

Install FireFox and Firebug and you will see them. Internet Explorer is not the best browser to use as a test case when trying to debug markup issues.

So it is the final <br> that is causing the problem?

OK. I'll go and remove them........

Goto your VSD design screen and go up to the far corner of it and left click and hold. Now drag your mouse over the screen to select every object in the VSD design screen. This will provide a great screen shot showing object and text box placement relationships.

I'll tell you Scott I looked at them in Fire Fox and they behave exactly as IE does.

That will just help with your site looking identical in all browsers. Zooming will always present issues with any website. These fixes will just help minimize the overlapping a bit more.

I have all night...

I went to the raputtak site in VSD. I removed all final <BR>'s and re-sized the text boxes to leave no space and published it.

In preview on the XP (where VSD is), in Firefox on the XP and on the Vista and in IE on the Vista all showed the boxes breaking funny.

It shows as

Raputtak Dot
Com

On VSD I have

Raputtak Dot Com

All View Source files showed a final <BR> on each box. Now, I had carefully removed these from the VSD source. Where did they come from?

I also added the date stamp so that I know I am looking at the correct version, i.e. it is not from cache.
