xml swf problem - Post ID 103823

I'm new to using Visual Site Designer, I've just made a small Flash movie in CC Firestarter for the website I'm working on, I discovered that VSD wouldn't recognize .swf as a Flash file and, instead, would only look for .xml files.

Is there a way to get my .swf into VSD, or at least convert it into .xml? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I'm sure I'm missing something out. I've looked through the forum threads but couldn't find the answer.

Thanks

I don't know if this tutorial will help, but it indicates that Firestarter creates an xml file when you save the flash.

Thanks for the video :) I followed it to the letter but there was still no xml.file :( Plus now I'm getting a message saying The Homepage Could Not Be Saved.

I restarted VSD and tried it all again. It seems that my CC Firestarter 7.2 is not generating an XML file. I only get an swf file. Or am I missing something out?

That is correct. There is no XML file for FireStarter.

Apologies to all. I had my mapping set up incorrectly.... hence nothing happening when uploaded my site.

Thanks for your support nevertheless. I'll be good at this one day!
