Why doesn't Visual recognize .psd...

I have been trying for two days now to put some pics on a background and Visual Site Designer doesn't seem to recognize psd extentions....very irritating.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to 'nudge' it?

This is what I want it to look like...resizing because it's scaled for 1680 x 1050

I don't think many programs recognise psd extensions. Could you convert it to a pnd, gif or jpg?
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

VSD only understands image formats supported by browsers, so that limits you to jpeg, gif, and png.

Actually, Flash recognizes PSD files and will import them while maintaining layers, if I am not mistaken.

Not quite the same type of webpage creation software, but still...
