Why do my sites "FLASH" when changing...
I have built two sites using VSD and other CC software. Every time I change pages by using one of the links from the CC Flash menu, I get a real FLASH of white for a split second between pages. What's up with that and how can I correct it to have a smooth transition between pages? Check the sites out below:

It looks as if the white page background comes up first, before the other page elements are loaded.
Change the background colour so that it's more like the graphics that is covering it, perhaps?
Or use smaller page elements that load faster?

I looked at the source, and I think Inger is right. Your page background color is set to white. You should choose an image as background, the gradient image that covers the background now.

Thanks for the input. I did change the backgrounds and it does seem to help somewhat. But my flash menu bar on the left (see http://www.dakotapugs.com/beta/SDSRT/) still flashes or blinks every time I change pages. Is there a way to get that menu bar to remain constant? I built the home page first and then used it as a template to create all of the other pages, thinking only the main body content would change, not the entire page.
Thanks,
Todd

I don't know how much of a difference it will make but you could make your page height shorter. There's a lot of unused real estate on most of them.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks, Eric. The page length is set temporarily to the largest of my pages. Once I get to the content, I will resize accordingly. It's easier for me to shorten a page than to lengthen it. I will give it a shot as I add content.
Thanks,
Todd

Hiya Todd,
I don't see any flashing of anything at all anymore. Unfortunately, without using CSS to lay out your pages (which you can't really do with VSD I don't think?) there's no way to have it load just the content areas. When the menu is used it changes to the new page completely so the menu and the rest of each page is going to load each time you change pages.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
