When the firefox browser is set to zoom, text outgrowes the iframe.
What can i do to prevent this or set the iframe height to grow with the text?
IE8 also resizes the frame. Is this a firefox bug or am i forgetting somesort of crucial code?

Its possible the reason is because you are using tables. I vaguely recall there is an issue using tables and resizing iframes.

Intersting philosophy ;-) I'll have to investigate.

Hi there, I'm just using the text tool (not tables) and have had several complaints from gracious customers telling me my website looks terrible because the text expands beyond the page border. I figured out how to reproduce the problem, by selecting "Zoom In" on the browser menu (see attached example in Firefox).

Could someone please help with a suggestion on how to get the text to resize at the same ratio of the rest of the page objects?

Thanks so much!

I'm having a hard time getting my attachment to be less than 100k so for an easy example, go to http://www.dharmamerchantservices.com/BeingGreen.html and select "View", "Zoom", "Zoom In" from Firefox.

The good news is that I just confirmed this does NOT happen in Internet Explorer. There, the text resizes at the same ratio as the rest of the page, so the text stays within the tan box around the page.

Thanks again for any help and insights!

It's all in how the site is structured.

I appreciate your response Tom but I'm not following your suggesting of looking to the w3schools home page for the solution. I love that site but it's pretty broad right?

Maybe I can boil this down to something more simple: when I'm in Visual Site designer, and I place a button with text on it on a page, and I place a text box with text in it on the same page, how do I ensure the text scales the same way as the button?

If this is still not in the direction of the solution could you please provide more pointed guidance?

Thanks so much!

This thread should probably be located in the VSD section. You might get more responses to help you since you are using VSD. I don't use VSD so I'm not sure how the program structures the site or uses buttons and text as objects.

Moved it here to the VSD section as it definitely should be here and as Tom mentioned you should get better response here for assistance. Good luck :)

Hi Jo Ann,
Thanks so much for doing that!

Any takers?

To see an example of the issue, you can go to http://www.dharmamerchantservices.com/GivingBack.html and use the View, Zoom option from your browser. Voila!
