I have a business website with approx. 30 different products. I would like for a customer to be able to click on a photo 200 x 200 and go to a larger version 600 x 600 of the same photo.

Would the easiest way to do this be just to create another webpage with the larger photo or use something like visual lightbox, colorbox, or photo gallery?

Any of the ones you mention should be able to do what you want. It could be that the CC Photo Gallery will be easier than the other two to implement into a VSD created web page.

Yeto - I think one of the lightbox/colorbox things would be the way to go. Otherwise, 30 products would mean creating 30 pages for the larger images The other advantage with a lightbox type program is that once an item is clicked on, the viewer can scroll through all the products from within the lightbox.

I looked at a few lightbox programs and I think they will be overkill for what I am trying to do. There must be some kind of html code where you just click on a small photo and a large photo pops up.

Can someone suggest something really simple and fast?

I found the following 2 sets of code on the internet.

Would either of these work and which would be best as far as load times? Also, is it possible to include some additional code so that there will be a "back to previous page" link on the new page with the larger photo?

Try this one. Just make the first one be the small pic and the second one be the large pic.

They would both "work", but the first one is much to be preferred, since it uses a separate (small) image as the thumbnail. The larger image is only loaded if and when the thumbnail is clicked.
In the second alternative, the larger image is loaded whether the thumbnail is clicked or not. This is because the thumbnail there is simply a 'small display' version of the full-sized image.

I can't get the code to work. Photo 1 is showing but when I mouseover, the photo does not change to photo 2. I do see at the bottom of my browser window that the website address does change to the page that the photos are on but that is all that is happening. Can someone help me as to what I am doing wrong?
