Website won't update - Post ID 197643
I've changed my website for a new course that I'm teaching, but the changes aren't reflected online. Preview looks good and the actual html code seems accurate, yet the graphic interface still has the old courses and older images no longer needed. Any idea what is going on? (website: JoshRedford.com).
I've attached a screenshot of how it should look.

You probably just need to clear your browser cache. Attached is what I see, and it looks pretty much like your screenshot of "how it should look".

I tried that and it didn't work. My friend tried on his computer and saw the same messed up site. I'm going to try to delete all of the images online and offline so that it all gets a fresh update to see if that works.
I would try refreshing your browser several times as I see the updated version with a publish date of

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Sadly, I've tried everything including deleting everything from online and the images offline (of the old site). Nothing is fixed. As time is an issue, I fear that I must forego CoffeeCup for now (pity, because I did like your software). Thanks for trying to help.
Oddly enough, JoshRedford.com is partially mangled and JoshRedford.com/index.html is even more mangled (shouldn't they be the same mangled version). I've tried this on computers that have never been used and still the same thing occurs.

JoshRedford.com and JoshRedford.com/index are identical because when you type JoshRedford.com in to your browser it assumes the index part to be there on the end. Joshua do you get any errors when you publish your site in VSD. Does it say it can't find any files. I would try a resync of your site. Click on "Publish" then "Re-Sync Website....

also you should be concerned with this due to the fact that this is a browser/computer type issue, not a VSD issue. VSD and any other file creator/uploader only does what you tell it to, so it uploads the files, same as any other FTP setup would do so. If you can't "see" the files, in most cases that's on your computer's end in some way, not the uploading program's side. Most of the time... not always, but almost always, so I would look into this a little closer if I were you.
