I am brand new to VSD. I have a very basic question.

What is the optimal size for a web site? I want the site to work on cell phones as well as computer monitors. Just thought I would ask this before I get too far down the road and find out I did it all wrong!

Second question: Can ou resize after you've created? Or do you have to start all over agan?

Thanks so much!

Maureen - I think the best solution for for your desire (being phone friendly as well as standard computers) is to create two separate versions of the site, one fitted for computers and the other geared towards mobile devices.

Thanks Phil. I did not know that you could or should do that! In the meantime assuming I focus on one for computer screens what size is a good size? I have done some reading on the web since I oposted the question. I have seen opinions that say 800 pixels, others that say minmum of 1024. What do you think?

A lot of people have monitors that can handle more than 800x600 pixels nowadays (and then some still have smaller screens). I usually make sites between 900 and 1000 pixels wide.
