Hi, This could well be me doing something I shouldnt or doing it wrongly but when using VSD 6.06 and flash blogger I used to update the blog, publish it and then go to vsd which was already open, click on the html blog box, click on add flash in object properties, click on relevant .xml file and job done, I could then go to preview and see the updated blog before uploading via vsd ftp to server.
Now if I do exactly the same in VSD 7 build 8, it all appears to work until I preview that page and then I just have a white box!
The html in the box seems to be correct.
Any thoughts?

Hi Greg,
I think that if you remove the html box already there it would work best. I tried it your way and all I got was an html box over the previous one. So I ended up just deleting the bottom html box. make sense?

Hi Bruzer, thanks for the idea but makes no difference.
I deleted the box completely, then started again, exactly the same result.

Shall I raise a support ticket given as VSD 7 is so new?

Are you using the Add Flash tool to put this on your page or are you using the HTML Tool? If you use the Add Flash feature it will automatically add all the files and markup to your page.

Have tried it both ways, but normally use the flash tool.
Either way I just get a white box.

Hi Greg,
If you were to add some content to your blog, publish it without uploading thru the program, If you didn't change the way your blog looks --then with VSD open (and this is cool) then you can just click on save and do a preview VSD should (does for me) recognize the change and overwrite the files added when you used the flash tool the first time if so then upload. I like that in VSD!!!!!
So it is what Scott said......:)

Hi Bruzer,
That is the way I normally do it but it did not work.
However have got it sort of working by not using show the current page in preview but using show all, it then displays but without the arrows, will have to add them again in add files.
I dont know if there is a problem with show current page in preview but it wont work for me when adding flash via object properties.

well I don't understand why it's not working for you all of the sudden if you haven't been doing anything different. I know I have not had this problem yet lol, sorry to say.

Hi Bruzer,
Well as I said it works sort of and I can live with it for now.
I can update and preview it though the preview still doesn't show next and back buttons, I took my life in my hands and uploaded for the first time using VSD7 and whilst it took a while it worked and I got my buttons back!!
I am going to leave it at that, thanks for all your help, nice little video you have there.

Thanks
Greg
