I have the latest versions of EVERYTHING

Can anyone explain why after I added one piece of text to a page that it had to reupload 7 mp3's songs?

and then delete something it said I deleted? Now I have to go through the site and find out what got deleted.

Has anyone encountered this before?

You know Ty I had the same problem yesterday using a theme, I added 3 jukebox's and uploaded, went back added an image and it uploaded all the jukebox files again and when it was done it said that I have deleted something and wanted to know if I wanted to update the files I chose not to. then the next time it was fine go figure,VSD has had gas all week - so a couple beers later and it is still running fine, my suggestion is this choose no if at anytime VSD wants to remove any files your not sure of. :/

This, and many other similar issues described in various threads, is why I always shy away from the 'black box' approaches to uploading. It seems that all kinds of weird things can happen. Instead I just use my host's (networksolutions) FTP routine, which has two directory views side by side, - my local computer on the left and the server on the right. Then I just drag and drop between the windows and maintain full control over which files are where at all times.
Then I realize, of course, that there may be situations where this is not practical, or even possible, due to the peculiarities of the file-generating software. This may be the case with VSD and the .vnu files...(?)

I use the same method as Per, although with CC DFTP. And it works well with VSD too. VSD creates a folder containing the actual website, and it's the contents of that folder that has to be uploaded. It may be a good advice to upload the .vnu too, in order to safekeep it. It doesn't mean anything to the display of the site, but it is vital for reopening the site in VSD to edit it.

The "uploading for safekeeping", that Inger mentioned, seems like a very good idea!
