VSD Theme Woes - Post ID 131335
Hello. First off, I recently discovered the Coffee Cup software as I needed to plan a website for a reunion. I like the software in that it's easy to use.
I downloaded all the software titles, all the themes and all the graphics. In VSD, there were several themes to choose from, but I didn't see any that i really wanted to use, so I used the GET MORE THEMES button from the theme selector.
Right off the bat, I saw COTTON CANDY, which I liked and decided to use for my design. So I purchased it, along with some more Photo Gallery themes.
I extracted the ZIP file to the suggested destination, using Windows ZIP folders. I then attempted to copy all the files in the folder to the MY THEMES folder, only to be prompted that the files already existed. It turns out that the Cotton Candy theme is already installed as part of the package, but it does not appear as a choice in the theme selector.
Since I see that the theme specifies V6, i copied it into the DEFAULT folder as well since all of those themes say V6. No joy.
So, I am out the 9.00 I paid as I already had the theme, AND the theme cannot be used in VSD. See attached screen shots.
So I have 2 questions: 1) Can I get refunded for the theme as it was already part of the package I purchased, and more importantly 2) How can I use this theme in VSD? This is what I really want to use.

Attachment was too large- trying again....
One last thing - never mind about the refund. Somehow, the Cotton Candy ZIP file got into the big ZIP file I downloaded yesterday with all the other themes. I must have copied it inthere without realizing. I apologize for my confused state.
So, how can I use Cotton Candy?

Hiya Anthony,
this would be something you need to contact CC about personally rather than here on the forums. You can put in a support ticket and I'm sure they will do what they can to help you. One thing you need to keep straight is there are a lot of themes on the site for sale, but they are not all compatible with every program so you need to make sure you buy the correct ones for your software. Not sure if that's what happened, but check to be sure you bought the theme for Visual Site Designer and not for the HTML Editor or other program.
Either way, contact CC directly through a support ticket or by phone and see what might be going on there

Hi, Jo Ann.
Of course I was aware of what I downloaded. It was a VSD theme.
I thought the whole idea behind the forums was to get help with something that doesn't work, and post it publicly so others who might have the same problem can read about it.
I will open a support ticket.

Yep it is Anthony, but unfortunately us users can't really help with something like the fact that you already had the theme to start with and ended up buying it unknowingly. If that's what is indeed what happened then maybe CC will allow you to choose a different one. If it's just that the theme doesn't work, then it could be that someone may know how to fix it, but it's still a really good idea to alert the CC team so they are also aware if there is a problem needs fixing.
We do get answers from time to time here on the forums from the CC team, but it's not their main form of customer service so that's why the ticket system is at times the best way to go.
Good luck on the issue, I am sure it will get resolved for you as the CC team is pretty great
