VSD- text overlapping jpgs + other...
This has been asked in the past, and I've tried a quick search but most info seems to date back as far as 2006.
SO...has there been any new upgrades/genius solutions to this issue? Is there a magic 'width/height' that is more 'standard'? Most of my clients are very tech savy and surf by sending thier pals links, texting and viewing my page on phones, crackberrys as well as the internet.
On seeing my page on an iPhone today, some of it is just an overlapping hot mess! I'm even willing to make my page 'stationary' and if people have to use scroll bars, so be it. Maybe I just have to make every page nothing but jpgs including text???? I've tried 'centering' the text and making it much less likely to 'squish' down when the screen size is reduced, but if they have a really small window, it still looks awful!
Any hints, suggestions, answers or thoughts would be awsome.

PS. if it looks a little 'hinky' right now, I'm uploading new info to it so please just refresh and really sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause someone looking to help!!!

To make the site work across multiple browsers and devices, you would need to recode the pages by hand without using absolute positioning. This would allow you to make use of columns, and the text can flow between images rather than over them.
Thanks for a speedy response Cary, and that sounds great and all...I guess...if I knew how to do that. Or understood what you meant by 'recode the pages'....*blush*
Any directions or any other ideas?? Perhaps an interpreter?? LOL
I have probably almost forgotten most of my html and although I think I may have the gist of what you are getting at, I don't even know where to begin to figure out the code I would need to use. I have NO PROBLEM taking hours to go in and put any code neccessary before and after each jpg or paragraph...I just don't even have a starting point! It's why I love wysiwyg software.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
