VSD - Text Editing - multiple spaces...

It appears that VSD cuts multiple spaces to one in text boxes.

How can I insert more than one space in a row, for example, to spread out the text for emphasis.

E.g.:
Some text here more here and here.

Tab does not work, either.
I have an inferiority complex - but it is not a very good one.

Well, heck. Even the forum does it! My example was meant to be:

Some text here..............................more here...............................and here.

...where the dots represent spaces. I guess I could insert a number of unprintable characters but that is very inelegant.

Bass4Uphill,

No matter how many spaces you use on a website, the standard is to reduce that to a single space. This is not a VSD issue, but is standard web behavior.

I don't know how to add extra space in VSD, but the HTML code would be to use a NonBreak SPace which is   and you can repeat that as often as you want to add blank space.

You may want to try that in VSD to see if it will work.

I am having the same problem. Other packages that I hae tried ( non-HTML) allow users to put spaces and they do not get converted to only one space in HTML.

Also, the text editor does not hav the option to use tables.

Make as many text boxes as you need and space them out as you want them.

Not ideal, but I don't know of any other way.

A little work, but you could use a character instead of a space, then go back and change the font color to match the page's color, so don't see the character. In your example:
Some text here..............................more here...............................and here.
highlight the periods and change the font color to the background color

That's what I've been doing. I simply uses periods or dashes, then recolor them to the same as the background. It works fine, but would be easier if you could just use tabs or spaces normally.
