Ok, so I am a newbie in website design.....

I have had VSD (w designer pack) for the past few days....and have been slowly building a website for my business and to post my travel blogs/photos.

I have most of my pages laid out for my business and now am working on the travel blogs/photos. I notice when I insert a menu from the flash menu builder, I see a white box with "Preview not available" on the page. Seeing the menu in the preview is not a problem, however, I want to be able to see the menu so I can align it will the remaining text.

- First, how do I see what is in the white box with "Preview not Available"
- Second, if I can't see what is inside, then how do you suggest I line up the text?
- Third (not related to the other questions), can I make the page length variable?

Thanks for all your help :)

1. Unfortunately the only way to see stuff inside placeholder boxes is to preview and/or publish the site.

2. I've not used the flash menu builder, but is there some way to ascertain how many pixels across the menu each item you want to align to is? You can also take a screen shot of the menu and insert that (sized properly) into your design temporarily to aid in aligning to it.

3. You mean dynamically resize the page as content grows/shrinks? Afraid not, the page lengths are set inside VSD and that's the only place where you can change them. Once published, each page size is fixed. For external content that might change in length I personally insert it into the page as an iframe and the user can use the iframe's scroll bars to access the overflow content as things grow.
