I'm trying to update my website. Today when uploading VSD is trying to upload everything including my Photo Gallery. It ran for 50 minutes and continued to loop through all the pictures about three times before I hit Cancel Upload. Only three pages in the site were changed, and nothing in the Photo Gallery were changed. Now many of my images are scrambled, and an attempt to publish again results in the same thing. I also find I am locked out of my server so I can't get in there until Monday when someone can reset my password.I really need this site up today as this is our big festival weekend. Can anyone help?

OK, I got into the server, deleted the .vnu file and tried to upload again with the same result. So I deleted the Photo Gallery from the site but after a Save and Publish the Photo Gallery is still trying to upload????
Still working on this. First cleared out the site files, then I did a re-sync of the site and most is OK now. But every time I do an upload one or two of the images change. Images from other pages appear on the wrong page, or appear enlarged or scrambled, and as much as I delete the wrong image and re-create them it will show until the next upload when other images take over or the new image dissapears. If you check the front page I just changed the Book Club logo as it disappeared. The link icon under the Mass Schedule was made new, and showed OK at first but after re-adding the Book Club icon and uploading again that image changed. This is driving me NUTS today!
I had a similar problem, I did this, I made sure the preview was ok. I then zipped up the site online for safety. I then deleted the site and uploaded which brought all back in working order. I think the problem is that images get renamed when new pages are introduced and then mix.
It is like a system restore. each time you are confident that the site is currently good, use the C panel resources to make a archive of the working site. I know there is a backup but belts and braces is the way to go. Keep a archive of versions that you are happy with.

I hate to state the obvious, but have you hit ctrl & F5 with each individual page open ????
This one crops up time and time again
Also for future, why not have your photogallery in a separate (identical) website, but with the tabs etc edited to work with the main site, saves VSD ever having to check it
My photography sit in signature is done that way, there about 7 separate gallery sites

Viv- Ctrl and F5 does nothing when on the online page, and nothing in VSD?? I've never heard of this fix before, sorry.
Putting the Photo Gallery in a sub-domain would be a good idea, but again even after I deleted it from the site through VSD (deleting the flash object properties) it still wants to load up. Been having minor problems with Photo Gallery since the last update. After updating some of my albums were deleted, and some other albums could not find images even though they were in the same file they were in during creation. Working on a new gallery now.
I think he's trying to help you do a shortcut to refresh your page in your browser which is just a straight F5 without the Ctrl. Try that and see if it helps at all.
Thanks Jo Ann. I did refresh the browser after each Publish. Still have icons changing. Again, I would create a new icon for one that messed up, but after a new Publish that icon would be OK but another icon would change. After several tries I just gave up, and will have to work on this more in the next few days.
Have you tried clearing your browser cache? Just grabbing basic things here as I don't use VSD myself, but sounds like there's some cache issues here possibly. Hopefully that helps as it would be a very easy fix

Every time i update in VSD on a fairly large site with lots of pages, it all looks totally screwed up
Ctrl F5 often clears it, or i delete my browsing history, and that clears it
Trouble is other people who viewed the site before the update also see the mess.
Its a VSD thing, well reported in the forum, but different browsers, different pc setups etc different issues i think
