VSD doesn't see FormBuilder

I am trial-using VSD, and getting used to its idiosyncracies. Was a little nervous when it crashed a couple of times, so I've been saving a lot. And Ctrl+Z doesn't seem to always work. And Ctrl+B doesn't bold, I doesn't italicize, U doesn't underline which is weird in a WYSIWYG. And double-clicking a word doesn't select the word; you apparently have to swipe with the mouse. Idiosyncracies. Pays yer money and takes yer chances.

But then I clicked the Formbuilder button. VSD was quick to offer me the chance to buy FB, which is swell. But I already own Formbuilder. Seems peculiar that one CoffeeCup app doesn't notice that another is already present.

Anyone like to weigh in on how to get VSD to see what should already be pretty obvious?

That is a setting in the software Chuck. Go to the Settings Menu > Configure Left Toolbar.

Pretty easy right? :)

Sounds easy enough to do. Not terribly intuitive, though :)

Actually, it was already pointing to the right place. Except I'm running 64 bit Win7, so the path was off by one little "(86)" in the folder name.
Might want to consider looking in the right spot on a 64 bit machine.

VSD is a 32-bit program (not 64-bit) which is why it defaults to the Program Files folder and not the other one.

Scott,

On a 64 bit machine, it's the Program Files (86) folder where the 32 bit apps go. The 64 bit apps go in plain ol' Program Files.

Just to let you know: been a graphics and operating systems software architect and developer for 33 years, Windows since WinNT. We've put a lot of stuff in both places. :)

I believe Scott knows what is where. But I will let you Google his name.
