VSD and transparent image problems...

Okay, I understand from doing some forum searches that if a transparent gif intersects any other object than the plain background the transparency is lost. I learned this the hard way tonight.

My question is, will this ever be fixed? Will the advent of transparent png support in 6.0 make this problem go away?

Thanks in advance.

When 2 objects intersect like that, the transparency is lost because the 2 images basically become 1. Right now there is no work around other then to not intersect them. This will be the same in version 6.0

Understood; thanks for the response.

Actually I came up with another work-around that doesn't compromise my page designs: I'm just layering the needed transparent graphics in my image editing software and flattening them to a single background image for importing into VSD. Done.
